Choosing the right product
What product would be best for my home?
It depends on what you need the window to do. Louvred products like shutters and venetians let a breeze through while still shading and screening, and blockout roller blinds or roller shutters are the choice for darkening a room. Our consultants are trained across the whole range including where each one doesn’t work so you can make an informed choice.
Are timber shutters better than synthetic shutters?
It depends on where they’re going. Synthetic shutters like our Alto Polyresin range are unaffected by salt air or moisture, which makes them the better choice for coastal homes, bathrooms and laundries. Timber is lighter, so it suits large panel sizes and premium living areas.
Can I use your products outside?
Some, but not all. We have a full range of external awnings, shade solutions and shutters built for outdoor use, and for internal blinds near doors or windows that get left open we’d steer you to Alto Polyresin shutters or venetians. Your consultant will also explain how exposure can affect a warranty.
I live near the ocean — what do you recommend?
We started on the Sunshine Coast over 20 years ago servicing Caloundra to Noosa, so we know what survives salt air and what doesn’t. Bare aluminium venetians pit quickly, and some products have componentry that needs replacing once salt builds up. We’ll recommend what suits your location and what maintenance it will need.
Does your showroom have every product on display?
No we display a select few and bring the rest to you. Colour swatches and samples in your own home let you compare against your décor and see the product where it’s actually going. Some products like Zipscreens and plantation shutters are impressive at scale, so you’re welcome to visit us as well.

What does buying “Factory Direct” mean for me?
You buy straight from the people who make and install your window furnishings, with no retail middleman adding margin. Every product is custom-made to your exact measurements rather than sold as an off-the-shelf size, and because we control the whole process from measure to installation you get sharper pricing and a single point of contact throughout.
What’s involved in a free measure and quote, and is it obligation free?
It’s completely obligation free. Call 1300 077 125, ring your local office, or send a request through the contact form and it goes straight to your nearest consultant. They’ll come to you with samples and colours, measure up and give you a fixed quote on the spot all in the one appointment.
How does installation work, and how long does it take?
Once you’re happy with the quote we custom-make your order and our own qualified installers fit it for you. Most standard orders are completed within a few weeks of your final measure.
Why should I buy from you?
We’ve operated in South East Queensland for over 25 years. Family owned, big enough for competitive pricing and proper quality control, small enough that you’re a name rather than a number. Most customers tell us they bought from us because the consultant took the time to explain everything: the products, the process, the cost and the wait. Care, safety and standards
How do I clean my blinds and shutters?
Most of the range is low maintenance, a wipe down or a dust is all that’s needed. Some products carry antimicrobial and antistatic treatments that stop dust clinging to the fabric. We provide care instructions specific to whatever you choose.
Are your products child safe?
Yes everything is manufactured and installed to comply with the ACCC’s child safety regulations for window furnishings. Many products can be made completely cord and chain free through design or motorisation; where a cord or chain is necessary, safety devices are fitted or it’s shortened to the legislated height. All our consultants and installers are trained in these standards.
Are your products environmentally friendly?
We source materials with sustainability in mind, including PVC free and lead free alternatives, and many products are recyclable or made from recycled materials. Most are also designed to reduce heat transfer in summer and insulate in winter, which lowers energy costs and emissions.
Do non-timber shutters emit toxic gases?
No our Alto Polyresin Shutter has been laboratory tested and emits no VOCs or any other toxic gases, unlike some PVC products. The paint matters too: many imported products use cheap paint that doesn’t meet Australian standards but can still be brought into Australia. We have developed our own paint treatment designed for the QLD climate which is the reason we can offer a Lifetime Warranty on our Alto Polyresin Shutters.
What are the shutters made of?
Four materials, each suited to a different job. Adagio is natural timber — light enough for large panels and warm in living areas. Alto is polyresin, unaffected by salt air or moisture, so it suits bathrooms, laundries and coastal homes. Tempo and Vivace are powder-coated aluminium, built for outdoor and indoor use respectively. Every shutter is then finished with a paint treatment developed specifically for the Queensland climate, protecting it against our sun, humidity and coastal salt air and backed by our warranties and guarantees.

Are your products guaranteed, and will they handle the Queensland climate?
Yes. Every product is custom-built for Queensland conditions and backed by a warranty. Our Alto Polyresin Shutters carry a Lifetime Guarantee, our awnings a 5-year warranty, and our security range is backed by up to 20 year warranty. Your consultant will confirm the cover for whatever you choose. We choose materials and finishes designed to resist our harsh sun, humidity and coastal salt air.
What interest free finance do you offer?
We offer Zip and Humm 90 interest free payment plans, plus special interest free offers from time to time. Ask your consultant when they come out to quote.
